The past two months were quite busy for the Brampton Community & Economic Empowerment Network (BCEEN). On October 21st, 2021, BCEEN held the flag-raising ceremony for Saint Vincent & The Grenadine’s 42nd Year of Independence at the Ken Whillans Square at Brampton City Hall. This was part of a concerted effort to strategically strengthen relations between the Consulate of Saint Vincent & the Grenadines and the City of Brampton.
On November 25th, 2021, the flag-raising ceremony celebrating 55 Years of Barbados’ Independence and the island’s transition into a republic, was also coordinated by BCEEN at the Brampton’s City Hall at Ken Whillans Square.
Both of these events were part of a concerted effort by BCEEN to highlight the importance of Brampton’s Caribbean Diaspora to the economic and cultural development of the city.
Special thanks to the City of Brampton’s Protocol Office, Mayor Patrick Brown and Erica Henry-Jackman (The FDI Coordinator for Africa and the Caribbean at Brampton’s Economic Development Department) for working with BCEEN to make these special events possible.
